After signing a new contract, the defender said: "Since I arrived in Manchester, I felt at home away from home. I had the chance to play with great players and work with very passionate people. This league was the ideal solution for me. The city and the locals here have been so hospitable … I have developed important relationships.
"I believe in what we can do [here in Manchester] and with the pieces we have already signed. I'm looking forward to a great summer and getting back to Manchester. I want to get back to a position I know we can be and it's something that fans really deserve to see. "
