Ferrara excited to play for GB at Skydome again
Striker Luke Ferrara is delighted to be able to play for Britain again at Skydome.
GB starts his training camp tonight before next month's World Championship in Slovakia.
The 25-year-old won the 3-1 victory over KHL club Riga in front of an exhausted and passionate crowd in Coventry.
Pete Russell's team will face Italy at Skydome on Friday before heading to Milton Keynes on Sunday to face Hungary.
The team will then be reduced to 25 before consecutive matches against Torpedo in Nottingham and Sheffield – and these players will represent GB in their first ever world champion title since 1994.
"Playing for your country is always an honor," said Coventry striker Blaze. "It's very special when playing at home.
"The match against Riga in February was unreal. The noise was so loud that we could not hear ourselves talking on the bench.
"I think everyone in training camp is excited about what's ahead. We have games against two big teams this weekend and, of course, everyone aims to be part of the last team of 25 players.
"It would be a dream come true: to represent GB at the highest level against the best players in the world.
"The competition for places will be intense in the coming days and I really hope to be part of it."
