CHL schedule confirmed for Giants and Devils
The Belfast Giants and Cardiff Devils will start their 2019/20 Champions Hockey League games at home after announcing the schedule of matches on Monday.
The Giants, who won the elite league championship last season, clashed with Czech Republic's Bili Tygri Liberec team on Thursday (August 29th) before welcoming Germany's Augsburger Panther two days later. before going to these two rinks a week later.
They will end in October with a double header against SHL club Lulea Hockey to face off at SSE Arena before heading to Sweden for the second leg.
The Cardiff Devils head for the third time in a row at the top of the European table and will face Mountfield, also of the Czech Republic, on Friday, August 30, and then the Austrians, Graz 99ers, on September 1.
Visits to these two locations will follow before finishing with two dates, the first at home against the CHL champions, the Frölunda Indians, before going there to finish their schedule.
