All change between the pipes in Coventry
Coventry Blaze announced the signing of 28-year-old American goalkeeper C.J. Motte, as well as the release of Jamie Phillips.
It is a change that will surprise many people as coach Danny Stewart refreshes things and brought in an experienced goalie who will make his debut this weekend against the Guildford Flames.
And Stewart was happy to have his man on board before what will be a couple of busy weeks for the club.
He said: "We are delighted to welcome C.J. to the club. He brings a wealth of experience and has accumulated excellent figures throughout his career.
"We can't wait to have him in Roster this weekend. "
Motte arrives at EBEL HC Innsbruck, where he played this 16 times this season until their departure in early November and previously iced for Quad City Mallards and Allen Americans in ECHL as well as Iowa Wild in the AHL.
In the other direction, Jamie Phillips, who leaves the club after 33 appearances in all competitions after having signed with Reading Royals this summer.
Stewart said: "We thank Jamie for his contribution this season. He was just a professional model and a popular person in the room, but we just decided to change direction. We wish him all the best for the future. "
