Venue changes for Leeds Chiefs
Leeds leaders have announced that their first four home games will be played on alternative venues due to arena work at Planet Ice Leeds.
The four games concerned are Sheffield Steeldogs (November 3 and 16), Swinton Wildcats (November 10) and Hull Pirates (November 23).
Three of the games will be played at Planet Ice Blackburn, with the Wildcats game at Planet Ice Widnes.
Simon McGuinness, managing director of Planet Ice Leeds, told the club's official website: "We are witnessing daily developments at the rink site and the end is near.
"But we have to be able to put the Leeds Chiefs ice hockey team home on Elland Road, we want to make sure that the arena is in the best condition possible so that fans can really enjoy the pleasure to see the team exciting and live a great night of match.
"All members of the organization The Chiefs wish to thank the fans for their continued support."
Sam Zajac, player / head coach, added, "On my own behalf and that of the other boys, we would like to thank all our fans for their support during the first games of the season. Like everyone else, I can not wait for the first home game.
"We have been using Blackburn's training facilities for six weeks and are excited to be able to use their arena as home for three of our November games and we are also looking forward to playing Planet Ice Widnes.
"I hope we will see an advantage over our country and that you will all be able to make the trip to see us play, and I'm sure it will be an intense and exciting hockey."
