Jason Binkley joins Nottingham Panthers
Nottingham Panthers announced the signing of the American defender Jason Binkley for the rest of the 2019/20 season.
Binkley, 27, has spent the past four years playing for the Fort Wayne Komets in the ECHL, and got his first AHL call this season.
The club confirmed that the paperwork was "in progress", with the player soon to land in Nottingham.
"I like to be patient with regard to the signatures and it is not easy to do it so close to the deadline, but I am happy to have my man, "said hockey director Gui Doucet.
"We had to add a forehand defender and having a guy with Jason's quality at this point is huge for our team as we track down a race in the standings.
"The fact that Jason made his American League debut this season shows that he is probably playing the best hockey in his career right now and we are delighted to see him in the dark and Panthers gold as soon as possible. "
